As a mechanical engineer specializing in design, you will play a key role in various tasks including reviewing customer specifications, understanding critical project requirements, and deriving all requirements for the design of mechanical auxiliaries according to industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will collaborate with external suppliers to create engineering drawings and 3D models of various mechanical auxiliary items and foundation drawings. Additionally, you will manage 3D models, perform structural analysis of baseplates using FEA tools, and collaborate to develop static and dynamic analysis with external suppliers.
  • You are responsible for creating piping line specifications and designing/sizing the lube oil tank (API 614) as well as selecting Lube oil system components like pumps, LV motors, filters, accumulators, rundown tanks, and pressure control valves.
  • Supporting the development of skid package designs for Compressor Steam turbine packages includes designing package piping support, locking assembly, etc., while considering ergonomics, accessibility, and maintenance.
  • You will be involved in the design of external BOP skids that include Oil mist eliminators, Rundown oil tanks, and Seal gas treatment skids in collaboration with external OEM vendors.
  • Participate in 3D model reviews of the entire train, verifying interfaces across different products that constitute the project, supporting 3D model review meetings with customers.
  • You will also perform stress analysis of piping supports where required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in packaging rotating equipment, auxiliary equipment design/piping support design/analysis/structural analysis is necessary.
  • Familiarity with piping design for ASME B31.1 & 31.3 and Lube oil System sizing to API 614 code requirement is essential.
  • Experience in sizing calculations and valve selection is also required.
  • Working knowledge in NX modules, Autocad modelling, drafting, routing assembly and Analysis software like Ansys, Caesar, etc. is desirable.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering documents (like P ID, technical data sheets, and OM manuals).
