Job Role:

The position of Senior Manager is a pivotal role within the Group Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of professionals to process new business and end-to-end policy servicing for group business, ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

This role will focus on Group New Business & Policy Servicing within the Operations Department, providing professional and courteous service to intermediaries and customers. Key responsibilities include coordinating with Sales and Actuarial teams for closure of individual Group processes, issuing policies and resolving customer and intermediary queries efficiently, ensuring consistent and effective implementation of Company procedures, implementing and maintaining quality and quantity controls to anticipate problems, supervising and training an effective team to meet business needs, and coordinating with finance for reconciliation of policy account balances.

Main Priorities:

  1. Closing individual Group processes in collaboration with Sales and Actuarial teams.
  2. Issuing policies and efficiently resolving customer and intermediary queries.
  3. Implementing and maintaining high-quality procedures.
  4. Anticipating and mitigating potential problems through quality and quantity controls.
  5. Building and leading an effective team to meet business objectives.
  6. Reconciling policy account balances with finance.
  7. Leading the transformation and digitization of group business.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess an MBA/ACII with 8-10 years' experience in customer services or operations, preferably in a Group Operation department. An Associate of Insurance Institute qualification is an added advantage.

Required Skills:

  1. Operational experience in the financial services industry.
  2. Data processing skills to deliver operational efficiency.
  3. Proficiency in using databases and office management software, including word processors and spreadsheets.
  4. Strong leadership, team building, and influencing skills.
