Audit Specialist Role in Global Risk Management

Job Description

The Audit Specialist will be part of a specialized quality team responsible for conducting deep-dive audits, identifying risk trends, driving process integrity, and providing actionable insights to business stakeholders and partners.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting monthly quality reviews/audits within stipulated timeframes while adhering to process Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and framework guidelines.
  • Validating data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business and regulatory standards.
  • Analyzing error trends, identifying root causes, and suggesting corrective actions or process improvements.
  • Documenting QA findings and maintaining accurate quality logs and reports.
  • Providing timely feedback to vendor partner teams and supporting capability uplift.
  • Participating in calibration sessions with counterparts and vendor QA teams.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on underwriting procedures, business rules, and quality governance.
  • Supporting the creation and maintenance of QA calibration guides for existing and new processes.
  • Resolving disputes in accordance with agreed action plans within specified timelines.
  • Maintaining accurate error tracking logs and following up on corrections by processors.
  • Participating in training sessions from business stakeholders and updating SOPs accordingly.
  • Training new starters as mentors and dedicated trainers for various processes.

Requirements & Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance operations, with a focus on underwriting for European and/or London markets.
  • Minimum 2+ years of audit, quality assurance, or process excellence experience, preferably in a BPO or shared service environment.
  • Familiarity with multiple lines of business within commercial or specialty insurance (e.g., Property, Casualty, Marine, Terrorism, Financial Lines, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of compliance, control, and documentation standards in underwriting processes.
