Job Title: Cisco SDN ACI Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cisco ACI engineer to design, implement and support our Software Defined Networking (SDN) solutions using Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Cisco ACI fabric-based SDN solutions
  • Configure ACI components including APIC, leaf/spine switches, policies, contracts, EPGs and tenants
  • Troubleshoot and optimize ACI deployments and fabric connectivity
  • Integrate ACI with third-party systems such as VMware vCenter, firewalls and monitoring tools
  • Manage data center migrations and network transformations to ACI architecture
  • Develop and maintain ACI-related documentation and runbooks
  • Collaborate with network security and cloud teams to ensure policy enforcement
  • Assist in network automation using tools such as Ansible and Python scripting for ACI API
  • Monitor and resolve network issues, incidents and changes via ITIL processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, APIC and fabric components
  • Good understanding of Layer 2/3 protocols, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN and MPLS
  • Familiarity with Nexus 9000 series switches (NX-OS/ACI mode)
  • Experience in integrating ACI with VMware (vDS, vCenter)
  • Understanding of multitenancy, VRF, BD, EPG and contracts in ACI
  • Knowledge of automation tools such as Python, REST API and Ansible
  • Network monitoring tools such as Cisco DCNM and SolarWinds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cisco certifications such as CCNP Data Center and CCIE Data Center preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in enterprise networking and 3+ years in Cisco ACI
