About the Job

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy large-scale machine learning services and data pipelines
  • Lead the end-to-end product life cycle for mid to large machine learning projects, including design, development, model validation/testing, deployment, and operational excellence
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices in machine learning engineering methodologies, techniques, and technologies
  • Contribute to advancing the team's design methodology and quality programming practices and mentor junior team members
  • Innovate and implement new ideas to solve complex software problems and prototype creative solutions

Requirements

  • 8 to 10+ years of work experience in software engineering, with 4+ years of experience in designing and implementing Big Data/ML applications in Spark Streaming, Kafka, Hadoop
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, EMR, Kubernetes, Docker), ML platforms (Databricks, SageMaker), and strong knowledge in SQL, ETL, and data modeling
  • Familiarity with machine learning libraries such as PyTorch and Tensorflow, and experience working with workflow management tools (e.g. Airflow)
  • Strong command of machine learning libraries and knowledge of common integration patterns for serving inference
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and familiarity with the e-commerce or travel industry
