About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support in power market modeling activities, leveraging sophisticated tools to create comprehensive datasets and deliverables. Key responsibilities include structuring model scenarios, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and serving as a subject matter expert for assigned regions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of power market models using advanced software like PLEXOS and GAMS.
  • Collaborate with teams to structure model scenarios and sensitivity cases.
  • Provide expertise on power and renewable coverage for assigned regions.
  • Develop insights and market reports covering short-term analysis, daily tracking of government websites, and configuration of databases.
  • Work with research teams to support database consolidation and data verification.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Oil and Gas, Power, Mathematics, Statistics, or Operational Research is required.
  • Less than 3 years of experience in data analytics, databases, data transformation, information sciences, statistical analysis, or similar is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, is necessary.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with complex energy modeling tools is highly desirable.
  • General understanding and interest in energy markets are a plus.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
