Cost Controller

A cost controller is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely project budgets, as well as controlling costs to meet financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budget Development and Monitoring
  • Develop, monitor, and control project budgets in collaboration with project managers to ensure alignment with company financial objectives.
  • Cost Tracking and Analysis
  • Track actual project costs versus budgets, particularly staff time allocation and related expenses to identify variances and trends.
  • Cost Control Systems and Procedures
  • Establish cost control systems, procedures, and reporting formats to ensure compliance with internal controls and client-specific budgetary requirements.
  • Financial Reporting
  • Prepare weekly/monthly project cost reports with variance analysis and commentary to provide insights to senior leadership.
  • Team Collaboration
  • Closely collaborate with project managers, HR, and other teams to track man-hours, resource utilization, and financial performance.

This role requires a hands-on cost controller with significant experience in cost accounting, timesheet and rate management, budgeting, and exposure to international taxation and cross-border transactions.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling project budgets across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring budgetary compliance, forecast accuracy, and supporting decision-making through detailed cost analysis.

You will work closely with world-class developers and hotel operators to deliver exceptional outcomes on complex, high-value projects.
