Backend Software Engineer Position

We are looking for an experienced backend software engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js.

  • Experience with Node.js, JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript is required.
  • Proficiency in database management systems, including SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis), is essential.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven systems is a plus.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, writing clean and maintainable code, and optimizing application performance, security and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js.
  • Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA to deliver high-quality features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
  • Optimize application performance, security, and scalability.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployments.
  • Lead technical discussions, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose improvements to architecture and processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Professional experience in backend development with a focus on Node.js.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
  • Hands-on experience with databases: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis).
  • Expertise in microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
  • Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization/orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with AWS/GCP/Azure cloud services.
  • Strong knowledge of testing frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools.
