Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a seasoned Purchase Specialist to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee the procurement of raw materials and packaging items for cosmetic product manufacturing.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing Expertise: Identify and source high-quality raw materials, active ingredients, fragrances, and packaging items from trusted suppliers.
  • Purchase Order Management: Create and manage purchase orders in line with production schedules and inventory levels.
  • Vendor Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with vendors to negotiate prices, lead times, and quality compliance.
  • Evaluation and Improvement: Continuously evaluate vendor performance based on quality, delivery time, and cost.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines (GMP, FDA) and maintain accurate records for audits and quality checks.
  • Collaboration and Inventory Management: Work closely with the QA/QC department to ensure receipt of materials as per specifications and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Logistics and Delivery: Coordinate logistics for on-time delivery of materials.
  • Cost-Saving Initiatives: Support cost-saving initiatives and price benchmarking efforts.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Procurement Expertise: Strong understanding of procurement processes in the cosmetics/pharma industry.
  • Raw Material Knowledge: Familiarity with raw materials used in cosmetics.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of GMP, FDA, and cosmetic regulatory requirements.
  • Negotiation and Vendor Management: Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical and documentation skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving and Time Management: Problem-solving mindset, cost-conscious approach, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
