About the RoleThe Market Research Lead - Digital Markets will lead the development and management of a portfolio of research studies focused on core market-related research questions. This position provides an opportunity to design, lead, and manage various research initiatives, partnerships, and evidence-driven products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Oversee Research Roadmap: Design, maintain, and oversee the roadmap for market research initiatives that drive strategic insights and inform business decisions.
- Lead Research Teams: Build and manage a team of Research Fellows to drive research excellence and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Conduct Research Studies: Lead and conduct a variety of research studies addressing key market-related questions, leveraging expertise in qualitative research design and analysis.
- Communicate Research Findings: Communicate critical research findings through publications, conference presentations, and the development of tools, frameworks, and digital public goods.
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop policy briefs and communication products that provide strategic insights on market trends, growth, and impact.
- Self-Motivation and Ownership: Self-motivated with the ability to take full ownership of tasks, working independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in Market Research: At least 3 years of experience leading market research studies, ideally in gig-labor or digital markets. Experience at the intersection of gender and markets is a plus.
- Research Expertise: Extensive experience in qualitative research design and analysis, with a preference for social science or anthropological methods.
- Statistical Analysis: Proficiency in statistics and basic quantitative analysis.
- Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in GSuite, R/Python/STATA/Tableau, NVIVO/MaxQDA.
- Organizational Values: A role model of organizational values, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to align with organizational priorities.
