Job Description:
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing food and supporting senior kitchen staff in daily operations, focusing on quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Evaluate incoming bakery orders to plan shift operations efficiently.
  2. Organize mise en place for current and next shifts.
  3. Coordinate with front-end and production teams to manage special/custom orders.
  4. Prepare Raw Material Indent Chart for the next day.
  5. Plan and delegate preparation tasks for seamless transitions.
  6. Create duty roster for assigned staff members.
  7. Actively assist Sous Chef in overseeing daily bakery operations.
  8. Take charge of the bakery section in absence of the Sous Chef.
  9. Ensure high levels of product quality, consistency, and hygiene are maintained at all times.
  10. Monitor personal and work hygiene standards.
  11. Complete order sheet and hand over detailed log report to next shift incharge.
  12. Standardize bakery products by following recipes/specifications.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4-5 years experience in bakery or hotel kitchen environment, preferably with supervisory role.
  • Certification/Diploma in Bakery or Culinary Arts is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of bakery production processes, raw materials, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage operations independently.
  • Excellent planning, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with HACCP and standard hygiene protocols.
