Production Operations Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned production operations leader to drive factory efficiency and productivity across multiple shifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning, inventory control, and lean manufacturing principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute daily/weekly/monthly production plans to meet customer demands and optimize costs.
  • Implement process improvements and reduce waste through the application of lean manufacturing methods.
  • Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), recipes, and product specifications.
  • Collaborate with procurement to plan raw materials and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Oversee manpower allocation, rosters, and overtime management, working closely with HR on staffing needs.
  • Lead the development and implementation of new products from pilot to full-scale production.
  • Maintain a culture of safety, hygiene, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as volume, OEE, yield, waste, and productivity, analyzing trends to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bakery/Pastry Chef or Food Technology/Engineering degree.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in production/plant leadership within the bread/bakery/confectionery industry.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-shift operations and supervising teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of bakery processes, equipment, and ingredients.
  • Strong command of production planning, inventory control, and lean/CI tools.
  • Working knowledge of food-safety protocols and related regulations.
