Geospatial Data Scientist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Data Scientist to join our team. As a Geospatial Data Scientist, you will work closely with customers to understand their needs and develop and deliver models for India specific GeoAI use cases.

  • Consult with customers to comprehend their requirements
  • Develop and pitch data-driven solutions by mapping business challenges to machine learning or advanced analytics approaches
  • Build high-quality analytics systems that solve complex business problems using techniques from data mining, statistics, and machine learning
  • Perform feature engineering, model selection, and hyperparameter optimization to yield high predictive accuracy and deploy the model to production in a cloud, on-premises, or hybrid environment
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Building and deploying AI-powered solutions to meet customer needs
  2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven insights
  3. Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project success
  4. Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in geospatial data science
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • 5+ years of practical experience in machine learning or applicable academic/lab work
  • Proven skills in data science and AI with Python, PyTorch, and Jupyter Notebooks
  • Experience in building and optimizing supervised and unsupervised machine learning models including deep learning and various other modern data science techniques
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: traditional and deep learning-based computer vision techniques, convolutional neural networks, transformer models applied to computer vision, 3D deep learning with Point Clouds, meshes, or Voxels
  • A Master's degree in RS, GIS, Geoinformatics, or a related field with knowledge of RS & GIS
  • Familiarity with ESRI products like ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise
