Job Title: Senior Physical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior physical design engineers.
  • Collaborate with front-end ASIC teams to resolve complex issues.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
  • Expertise in top-level floor planning, placement, scan-chain-reordering, clock tree synthesis, timing optimization, SI aware routing, and timing analysis/closure.
  • Familiarity with 65nm or lower node designs and advanced low power techniques such as Voltage Islands, Power Gating, and substrate-bias.
  • Proficiency in Cadence or Synopsys or Magma physical design tools and scripting languages like PERL and TCL.
  • Strong Physical Verification skill set and Static Timing Analysis expertise in Primetime or Primetime-SI.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly document plans and interface with different teams.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ASIC Physical Design, including Floor planning, P&R, extraction, IR Drop Analysis, Timing and Signal Integrity closure.
  • Extensive knowledge of low power design techniques and advanced IC design methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
