Senior SQL Server Database Administrator Opportunity

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing effective database strategies to drive business growth.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve complex database performance issues, ensuring seamless operations across all environments.
  • Develop and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies, minimizing downtime and data loss.
  • Maintain systems on-premises or in cloud-based environments, including AWS and Azure.
  • Coordinate and schedule database downtimes for maintenance procedures, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
  • Define and implement advanced database administration activities, including performance tuning, T-SQL optimization, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements, applying new knowledge to improve existing processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows and SQL Server technologies, .Net development, and ETL tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience working in 24x7 environments, with a focus on zero-downtime targets.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server 2016-2022 and Windows Server 2019+, with hands-on experience with Log Shipping and SQL Availability Groups.
  • Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies, with a proven track record of success.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Sentry One and PowerShell scripting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
