Embedded Software Development Role

The Embedded Software Development role requires a seasoned expert to develop and enhance features in various applications, including controllers, pumps, and drives. The individual will work closely with other developers using our common software platform.

This is a leadership position that involves providing solutions and architecture for software development, guiding colleagues, and collaborating with other parts of the organization. As a role model, you will focus on team delivery and cross-functional collaboration, with a good agile mindset and ability to mature team agility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of different embedded SW components for product applications.
  • Business requirement analysis and definition of software requirements.
  • Development of the architecture of our product software and alignment with the platform.
  • Definition and build of end-to-end solutions from a system perspective and support System integration.
  • Unit test development and testing of new software and products to the full value chain.
  • Quality improvement on existing software, bug fixing, and testing.
  • Mentoring and guiding colleagues to enhance the development process and innovative products.
  • Agile Ambassador and encouragement of team accountability and self-organization.
  • Encouragement of the team to work on improving the scrum process.
  • Sharing responsibility and knowledge.
  • Guarding the architecture and governance.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of relevant work experience after formal degree (Electronics Background).
  • Expertise in developing and implementing architecture in embedded SW applications for industrial applications.
  • Knowledge of embedded concepts at both SW and HW levels.
  • Expertise in Embedded C.
  • Prior experience in defining solutions for electro-mechanical systems with hydraulics.
  • Good experience in Control systems, preferably with knowledge in MATLAB.
  • Experience in usage and integration of sensors like temperature, pressure, etc.
  • Structured, modularized development and testing for different embedded software components.
  • Knowledge of MCUs architectures - 16 & 32 bit, Preferably - Renesas.
  • Exposure to fieldbus protocols like Modbus, Bacnet, CAN, etc.
  • Embedded environment - IAR.
  • Hardware debugging and testing.
  • User level understanding and knowledge with hands-on work experience.
  • SW testing tools at unit level. Preferably - CPPUnit.
  • Any continuous integration tool. Preferably - Jenkins.
  • Any version control tool. Preferably - GIT.
  • Experience with software development of display products.
  • Experience with test automation of display products.
  • Experience with Python language.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in wireless technologies e.g. Wifi, Bluetooth, Emulators, OCD, and other tools.
  • Knowledge of hardware debugging and testing tools.
