A Y Combinator funded startup aiming to empower doctors worldwide by providing instant access to clinical information and simplifying clinical workflows.

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our growing team and contribute to the development of our backend tech stack. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a passion for scalability, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, rollout, and maintain new features in high-performance backend services for our SaaS products.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate server-side logic.
  • Write clean, well-tested, and efficient code.
  • Promote a high standard of quality within the team.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a positive working culture.
  • Work closely with founders and stakeholders to incorporate user feedback and deliver exceptional user experiences.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, primarily in backend development.
  • Strong Python skills, with knowledge of at least one Python web framework (Django preferred).
  • Familiarity with asynchronous, multithreading, multiprocessing concepts in Python.
  • Deep understanding of System Design & Architecture.
  • Ongoing commitment to automated testing and debugging excellence.
  • Familiarity with user management concepts such as authentication, authorization, sessions, tokens, etc.
  • Experience with database systems like Postgres, Elasticsearch, and ORM libraries.
  • Ability to design databases that effectively support business processes.
  • Familiarity with real-time messaging systems like web sockets.
  • Solid understanding of front-end web frameworks like React, HTML, CSS.
  • Clear communication skills, strong teamwork abilities, and openness to constructive feedback.
  • Continuous learning and professional growth.

We offer an estimated annual salary of $130,000 to $160,000 based on location and experience.
