Senior AS400 RPG Developer Role

Greetings, we're seeking a seasoned professional with expertise in AS400/RPG programming to lead our team's technical efforts.

About the Position:
  • Our ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in developing and maintaining complex applications using the RPG programming language.
  • They will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing business solutions in an AS/400 environment.

The successful candidate will oversee:

  • Developing, testing, and deploying high-quality applications using advanced RPG coding techniques.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Mentoring junior developers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Key Skills:
  • Strong understanding of Database concepts, DDS, sub files, and RPG III or later & RPGLE programming principles.
  • Proficiency in CL and OS/400 commands.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL/400 and other AS/400 utilities.
  • Hands-on experience working within enterprise-wide data centers is desired.
  • Experience in Web services, Application Integration, or Modernization areas of AS/400 would be highly beneficial.
