Job Summary:

This role requires a seasoned security professional to oversee and enhance the secure email ecosystem, safeguarding against phishing, spoofing, and malicious payloads.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in advanced email security controls, including sandboxing, DMARC, threat intelligence integration, and user awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and continuously improve email security implementation to prevent phishing, spoofing, and malware threats targeting users.
  2. Establish filtering policies per risk-based user segmentation.
  3. Evaluate email routing, journaling, and DKIM/DMARC/SPF configurations for compliance requirements.
  4. Monitor and resolve advanced email threats, perform root cause analysis on false negatives/positives, and lead remediation for targeted phishing attacks.
  5. Integrate email security events into SIEM for correlation with identity and endpoint telemetry for improved incident detection.
  6. Develop reporting templates for weekly threat trends and support governance teams with compliance submissions.
  7. Provide guidance on BEC protection, email content control, and mailbox behavior analytics.
  8. Lead simulation testing, phishing campaign exercises, and user awareness metrics for ongoing posture improvements.
  9. Collaborate with IT and IR teams to drive end-to-end containment and recovery of email-borne incidents.
  10. Define operational baselines, tune policies, and manage escalations from SOC analysts and internal stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in email and perimeter security; 4+ years leading security operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of MIME filtering, encryption, DKIM/DMARC/SPF, sandboxing, and impersonation protection.
  • Mimecast Certified Specialist or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Exposure to ISO 27001 compliance reporting.

Requirements:

Strong understanding of mail routing, M365, Exchange Online integration.
