This is a challenging contract position with a leading technology company.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Java Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable cloud-based systems using Java and related technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, and knowledge of software design patterns.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality cloud-based systems using Java and related technologies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with other developers to ensure that all code is well-structured, modular, and follows best practices.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure high quality of code.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure that all code meets the highest standards of quality and security.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8+ years of production-level Java development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Java Development along with good problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (or other cloud provider's) technologies such as SQS, DynamoDB, Kinesis/Kafka/Flink.
  • Experience working on Spring/Spring-Boot Framework.
  • Experience using Terraform to build infrastructure as code.
  • Experience building scalable systems and services in the cloud, including calling other REST services from within a REST service.
  • Skill and experience using design patterns.
  • Experience in building, running and monitoring SaaS applications at large scale.
  • Experience with multi-repo GIT code bases, REST-based web services, testing frameworks such as Blazemeter, shell scripts, automated CI/CD pipelines.
