Job Title: Senior Power Electronics Systems Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Power Electronics Systems Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power electronics system design and development, with a focus on high-voltage battery systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Define the hardware architecture and component specifications for high-voltage (400V–800V) battery systems, ensuring compliance with automotive standards such as ISO 26262, AEC-Q100, and functional safety.
  2. Select and integrate components such as MCUs, ADCs, op-amps, shunt resistors, Hall-effect sensors, and isolation devices, optimizing performance and minimizing costs.
  3. Develop schematics and PCB layouts using tools like Altium Designer, OrCAD, or KiCAD, adhering to automotive standards and best practices.
  4. Lead the end-to-end hardware development of power electronics systems, including BMS and battery management interfaces, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide PCB layout for high-power designs, ensuring EMI/EMC compliance and thermal management.
  6. Drive validation and testing of prototypes in lab and vehicle environments, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in power electronics system design, applying knowledge to improve existing designs and develop new solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in power electronics system design and development, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of power electronics principles, including circuit analysis, semiconductor devices, and system integration.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in tools like Altium Designer, OrCAD, or KiCAD, as well as programming languages such as C or Python.
