Job Overview:

The role of a medical scribe is a vital part of healthcare documentation. In this position, you will work closely with our team to ensure timely and accurate recording of patient visits.

Responsibilities:
  • You will review and transcribe physician dictation into clinical notes within electronic medical records (EMR) and billing systems.
  • You will prepare and assemble medical record documentation/charts for physicians.
  • You will maintain the integrity of medical records through self-documentation attestation.
  • You will update patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in the patient's chart.
  • You will prepare and send documentation to physicians for review and approval via authentication of detailed data entry and facility-specific procedures.
  • You will monitor lab results and screening procedures.
  • You will adhere to hospital and medical facility policies, including HIPAA and Joint Commission.
  • You will perform other administrative duties to enhance provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a live medical scribe.
  • Strong administrative writing skills.
  • Excellent reporting skills.
  • Highly organized with strong record-keeping abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and organization at all times.
  • Possess solid oral and written communication skills.
