Job Position: Experienced Backend Developer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the backend services of a live financial platform.

The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in TypeScript/Node.js and experience with AWS Lambda and serverless architecture. They should also have knowledge of PostgreSQL schema design, performance tuning and real-world queries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and deploy scalable and secure backend services using TypeScript/Node.js.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Develop transactional business logic for financial flows (e.g. onboarding, withdrawals).
  • Integrate with third-party APIs securely (OAuth2, JWT).
  • Optimize existing systems for performance, reliability, and audit requirements.
  • Work independently and communicate effectively with the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, preferably in financial services.
  • Strong understanding of TypeScript/Node.js and AWS Lambda.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization.
  • Knowledge of OAuth2 and JWT authentication protocols.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.

About the Role:

This is a full-time contract position with an initial 3-month term, possible extension. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and make significant contributions to our team.
