Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Lead to oversee our day-to-day technical operations.

  • Oversee the daily operation of our technical infrastructure.
  • Assist in training new employees and reviewing the high-performing team.
  • Develop and assign work schedules/tasks.
  • Review ongoing operations and rectify any issues.
  • Participate in design and code reviews that result in better quality experiences for our customers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues within agreed SLAs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure best-in-class customer experiences.
  • Lead groups of engineers, working with scrum masters and management, to coordinate and deliver projects.
  • Provide technical support to operations or other development teams.
  • Review the work of peers and team members.
  • Participate in planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements, provide design options, and provide work breakdowns and estimates.
  • Actively participate in team and status meetings, providing timely status updates for areas of individual responsibility within projects to reporting managers.
  • POC on new technologies/frameworks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • High technical credibility and strong programming skills with Java EE, SQL, JavaScript, JMS, REST, and SOAP services.
  • Strong experience in Java frameworks, especially the Spring Framework.
  • In-depth knowledge of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Solid technical foundation of single- and multi-tier architecture, web-based development, and Services-Oriented Architecture.
  • Proficiency in Java, data structures, algorithms, collections, and concurrency.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers for Oracle databases.
  • Proficient use of source code management tools such as Git/Bitbucket and build tools like Maven.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins).
  • Strong experience with Unix/Linux basic commands.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
  • Exposure to Apache Camel or other integration frameworks.
  • Ability to see the big picture while not losing sight of necessary details.
  • Hands-on experience in data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience in leading a team through all phases of the software development cycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Experienced in agile software development lifecycles.
