Job Description

A Principal Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for contributing to the development of medical devices. The role involves working on various projects from concept to production, with a focus on designing and developing new products.

  • Conduct system-level design and testing activities closely with system engineering teams.
  • Perform mechanical engineering activities to develop new modules and systems.
  • Support released products through product development, quality improvement, cost reduction, and manufacturing issues resolution.
Required Skills and Qualifications Education

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

They should have at least 7 years' experience in medical devices and mechanical engineering, with experience in at least 2 complete product lifecycles from conceptualization to design, development, and manufacturing of medical devices.

Key Skills
  • Design fluid architectures for therapy devices.
  • Lead electro-mechanical integration and exposure.
  • Understand general manufacturing processes like injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, machining, with knowledge in tool engineering and design.
  • Have familiarity with prototyping techniques and tooling DFM, 3D modeling with Creo/Solidworks.
  • Be able to prepare 2D drawings with GD&T.
  • Perform tolerance analysis.
  • Familiarity with fluid dynamics, CFD analysis.
