Job Title: Senior Web Developer

HireBloc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining dynamic web applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop web applications using PHP and MySQL
  • Write clean, modular, and efficient code
  • Integrate user-facing elements developed by frontend developers
  • Implement data security and protection
  • Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
  • Create database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features
  • Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies in web development
  • Conduct performance tuning, improvement, balancing usability and automation
  • Manage hosting environment, database administration, and optimization
  • Implement security and data protection
  • Integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
  • Manage and maintain code versioning tools, such as Git
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven work experience as a PHP Developer or similar role
  • Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, etc.
  • Experience with database optimization, query optimization, and index tuning
  • Understanding of open-source projects, such as Joomla, Drupal, WordPress, etc.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs
  • Strong knowledge of common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Experience with common third-party APIs
  • Good understanding of Linux development environments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a focus on quality
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
