Infrastructure Architect Job Description

SITA is the leading specialist in air transport communications and information technology, covering 95% of all international air travel destinations and working with over 2,800 air transport and government customers worldwide.

This role involves immersing yourself in the dynamic world of technology while embracing our collaborative and inclusive culture. As an architect and designer, you will redefine air travel by leveraging your technical skills to architect and design solutions that meet the business requirements of our customers predominantly in the pre-sales phase.

The Role & Team

  • Architect and design the solution to meet the business requirements of SITA customers with a focus on deployment, infrastructure, network architecture, and cloud solutions.
  • Manage technical solutions in response to requests for proposal or unsolicited cases that can consist of multiple SITA products, including new or evolving technologies and SITA solution portfolios.
  • Design the deployment architecture and infrastructure specifications for servers and networking (LAN and WAN) for a solution to the customers' requirements.
  • Develop conceptual designs, high-level designs, and provide suitable inputs for low-level designs.
  • Develop Bills of Materials including compute and storage and networking specifications for servers, virtual machines, containers, etc.
  • Guide and contribute to design coordination and development solutions working with multiple parties both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

  • 7-10 years of experience in Information Technology, Air Transport, Telecom, or any other relevant industry in a technical Pre-Sales role.
  • Proven track record in producing communicating and documenting successful technical customer solutions.
  • Proven track record in managing solution proposals, costing, and customer presentation with great levels of details.
  • Solid experience in designing compute, storage, and networking solutions in all possible deployment scenarios.
  • Solid experience in network design LAN/WLAN, and WAN.
  • Understanding of Security: IPSEC, Access-lists, NAT, understanding of Firewall functions.
