Job Title: STEM Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to join our team as a STEM Educator.

  • To lead workshops and courses for teachers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) with expertise in progressive pedagogical and adult learning methodologies.
  • To develop capacity-building program plans in STEM and provide inputs for the preparation of academic calendars.
  • To coordinate with other subject teams for planning and executing STEM programs.
Responsibilities:Teaching:

- Design and deliver high-quality workshops and courses for teachers in STEM fields.

- Prepare and implement capacity building program plans in STEM.

- Coordinate with other subject teams for planning and executing STEM programs.

- Analyze feedback on training programs and incorporate it into subsequent trainings.

Content Development:

- Develop detailed program frameworks, teaching plans, and workshop modules based on background studies of relevant national and international reference materials.

- Create program materials for short-term and intensive courses.

- Strengthen the Resource Centre by developing subject-specific resource material.

Research and Development:

- Develop research-based specialized content and instructions to achieve workshop goals and objectives.

- Conduct regular training need assessments, baseline, and end-line assessments to evaluate program effectiveness.

- Conceptualize, design, and conduct research/s on a regular basis.

School Visits and Direct Intervention in Schools:

- Regularly observe classroom sessions at various schools to assess program impact.

- Plan and provide on-site support to selected teachers in schools.

- Engage intensively with a cohort of teachers to understand factors required for effective change in teaching practices.

Documentation and Reporting:

- Document and report progress on allocated tasks.

- Prepare and submit training reports, classroom observation reports, events, and other reports.

Qualifications:

- 3-6 years of relevant experience in capacity-building programs in Teacher Education.

- M.Sc. (Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry), B.Ed or an equivalent degree.
