Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining the core components of our internal developer platform.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop core components of the internal developer platform, including APIs, tools, and infrastructure.
  2. Build self-service capabilities to enable developers to provision infrastructure, deploy applications, and manage environments independently.
  3. Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
  4. Develop and maintain golden paths for common development tasks, ensuring consistency and best practices.
  5. Contribute to the overall architecture and design of our cloud infrastructure.
  6. Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools into the platform.

Collaboration and Communication

  1. Collaborate effectively with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
  2. Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  3. Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing.
  4. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development, infrastructure engineering, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience building and maintaining internal developer platforms.
  • Experience with API design and development.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Experience with security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Contributions to open-source projects.
