Java Developer - Build Tools and CI/CD

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our team, with a strong foundation in build tools and a passion for automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for migrating our existing Ant-based build system to either Maven or Gradle, while preserving the current project structure.

The successful candidate will have experience with version control systems (Git) and a solid understanding of CI/CD principles. Additionally, they will be instrumental in establishing a robust CI/CD pipeline within GitHub to streamline our development and deployment processes.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Migrating the build system to either Maven or Gradle, ensuring minimal disruption to the development workflow.
  • Designing and implementing a comprehensive CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions.
  • Integrating the CI/CD pipeline with the chosen build tool (Maven or Gradle).
  • Implementing automated testing, code quality checks, and deployment stages.

The qualifications for this role include:

  • Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ant build tool and experience in migrating to Maven or Gradle.
  • Understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools like GitHub Actions.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
