Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Specialist to design, implement and maintain robust security measures across our systems, networks and data.

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management and security best practices.

You will collaborate closely with IT, DevOps and Compliance teams to ensure comprehensive cybersecurity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cutting-edge security solutions to protect IT infrastructure, applications and sensitive data.
  • Monitor networks and systems for potential security breaches, anomalies and emerging threats.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address weaknesses.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of effective incident response plans; respond to security incidents with minimal impact.
  • Perform thorough risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies to minimize vulnerabilities.
  • Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), virtual private networks (VPNs) and other advanced security tools.
  • Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to integrate security into development, deployment and operations (DevSecOps) practices.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR and HIPAA.
  • Maintain and update comprehensive security documentation, runbooks and technical reports.
  • Educate employees and developers on essential cybersecurity awareness and secure coding practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • In-depth understanding of network, application and cloud security concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, endpoint detection and response (EDR), IDS/IPS, firewalls and vulnerability scanners.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell etc.
  • Familiarity with tools like Splunk, Tenable, Qualys, Wireshark etc.
  • Knowledge of leading security frameworks and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, OSCP or GIAC.
  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience in Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) practices.
  • Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust Architecture.
