Culinary Professional Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Culinary Professional to join our team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation in all food items.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Kitchen Operations:
    • Stock up the assigned kitchen with raw materials and ingredients on a daily basis.
    • Maintain knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment usage and adhere to safety guidelines.
    • Develop mastery over basic cooking techniques, including ingredient cutting and preparation of daily mise-en-place.
    • Prepare food items according to standard recipe cards while controlling portion sizes and minimizing waste.
    • Adhere to hotel food safety and hygiene standards HACCP.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Foster effective teamwork to provide exceptional services.
    • Exceed guest expectations by delivering high-quality food products.
    • Collaborate with colleagues across sections as assigned by the Executive Chef to ensure efficient use of equipment and task completion.
    • Strive for personal grooming and hygiene to maintain standards.
  • Resource Management:
    • Optimize resource utilization for cost-effectiveness.
    • Participate in stock takes and rotation for assigned sections.
    • Monitor operations to minimize food waste and maintain profitability in all areas.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Comply with recipes, methods, and instructions from the Executive Chef.
    • Maintain company and statutory hygiene standards.
    • E nsure food presentation meets standards.
    • Responsible for producing, preparing, and presenting all food items to ensure high quality at all times.
    • Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and code of conduct.
    • Coordinate operations with Department Coordinators, Supervisors, and other Departmental Managers for operational readiness, efficiency in resource utilization, and prompt delivery of services.
  • Safety and Environment:
    • Ensure workplace cleanliness, tidy storage areas, and consumable goods safety through adherence to HACCP regulations.
    • Follow safety guidelines for used equipment.
    • Apply hotel security regulations during emergencies.
    • Pursue environmental conservation efforts, reducing energy consumption and waste, and recycling.
