Test automation is a vital part of ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).

* Functional testing: Perform functional testing to ensure that the application meets the required specifications and behaves as expected.

* Regression testing: Conduct regression testing to verify that changes made to the application do not introduce new defects.

* Smoke testing: Perform smoke testing to quickly identify major issues in the application.

* Collaboration: Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand features and requirements.

* Bug tracking: Identify, document, and track bugs and issues to ensure timely resolution.

* Code reviews: Participate in code reviews to improve test coverage and maintain high-quality code.

* Test data management: Maintain test data and test environments to ensure efficient testing.

* Automation frameworks: Contribute to improving test strategies and automation frameworks.

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation.
  • Hands-on experience in Playwright for web testing.
  • Strong knowledge of testing concepts, defect lifecycle, and Agile practices.
  • Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience with Git and CI tools (like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with other automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
  • Familiarity with REST API testing (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).
  • Knowledge of performance or security testing is a plus.
