Job Description:

The Director of Automotive Embedded Hardware will lead the technical delivery of automotive electronics hardware for global vehicle OEMs, including instrument clusters, in-vehicle infotainment, cameras, information displays, and cockpit electronics controllers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical Hardware Design: Independently design and develop electrical hardware for automotive applications using microcontrollers, system-on-chip (SoC), high-speed memory, LVDS, FPD Link-III circuitry, and other relevant technologies.
  • Customer Compliance: Review customer specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product design reviews, prototype builds, and testing.
  • Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA): Develop and maintain electrical DFMEA to identify potential failure modes and mitigate risks.
  • Communication: Communicate product design, analysis, and testing results to customers, ensuring seamless collaboration and transparency.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in automotive embedded hardware design
  • Strong knowledge of microcontrollers, SoCs, and related technologies
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with worst-case analysis and simulations to guarantee product performance
