About the Role

This position involves monitoring and reviewing electronic communications for potential policy violations, analyzing alerts generated from automated systems, and escalating issues to relevant departments when necessary.

Main Responsibilities
  • Reviewing and analyzing electronic communication surveillance system alerts.
  • Performing audio surveillance by listening to voice communications of recorded employees.
  • Closing alerts by documenting rationales with accurate commentary for audit trail.
  • Modifying procedures and submitting them for approval as needed.
  • Driving enhancement and improvement of the communication surveillance program.
  • Supporting compliance investigations, including gathering and analyzing communication logs and trade data.
  • Preparing metrics to report surveillance results to Senior Management.
  • Staying up-to-date with regulatory changes and internal policy updates.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years' experience in Financial Services or Banking Compliance.
  • Good understanding of market abuse topics.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail; excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and escalate issues appropriately.
