Electrical Engineering Trainee Opportunity

Our organization is seeking a highly motivated and well-rounded Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET)-Electrical to join our team on a contract basis in our Mumbai office.

About the Role

The power division focuses on designing and executing projects for power generating facilities, including renewable energy sources. This role offers a wide range of design and project execution experiences, including electrical interconnects to the bulk power grid and associated power generating facility auxiliary power equipment.

  • Rotating machines: generators, motors, large power transformers, generator circuit breakers, isolated phase bus duct, non-segregated phase bus duct, switchgear, motor control centers, small power transformers, and variable frequency drives.

This position requires extensive collaboration with engineers, modelers, designers, detailers, and project managers, both locally in the Mumbai office and remotely in various offices in the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing/crafting electrical deliverables such as one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, interconnection drawings, equipment layouts, cable schedules, panel schedules, power, grounding, and lighting layouts for constructing/installation of new or modifications of existing power generating facility electrical systems.
  • Develop equipment specifications and review vendor drawings.
  • Create electrical system modeling including grounding, load flow, short-circuit, and arc-flash analysis using software like ETAP and SKM.
  • Coordinate, meet, and correspond with clients and teams.
  • Travel to the United States as required to support assignments on projects and overall office needs.
Requirements
  • A strong individual capable of applying engineering knowledge and principles to practices in day-to-day assignments.
  • Bachelor's degree (to be awarded in 2025) in electrical engineering from an accredited program.
  • Basic software experience utilizing Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat PDF.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
