Freelance FPGA Engineer – Embedded Systems Expert

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance FPGA Engineer to support the design and development of cutting-edge embedded systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong expertise in FPGA design using Verilog and/or VHDL, with hands-on experience with Xilinx and/or Altera FPGAs and design tools. They will also be proficient in real-time applications on microcontrollers and FPGAs, with excellent embedded software development skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop innovative FPGA-based solutions for complex embedded systems.
  • Use industry-leading FPGA design tools (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus) to simulate, test, and optimize high-performance real-time systems.
  • Develop and integrate advanced embedded software (C/C++, Python) with microcontrollers and FPGAs.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, universities, and industry partners on research and development projects.
  • Transition early-stage control systems into working prototypes.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience with a Bachelor's or 2+ years with a Master's degree.
  • Strong expertise in FPGA design using Verilog and/or VHDL.
  • Hands-on experience with Xilinx and/or Altera FPGAs and design tools.
  • Experience with real-time applications on microcontrollers and FPGAs.
  • Proficiency in embedded software development.
