Job Title: Creative Writer

Hiring a skilled Creative Writer to work with a leading digital advertising agency. You will have the exciting opportunity to work on global brands and win awards.

The Creative Writer is responsible for all creative produced for one or more brands, depending on the size. The writer must ensure that all creative produced meets the standards set by the agency and the client, in addition, the supervisor is hands-on, and does an appropriate proportion of writing as well.

Specifically, the Creative Writer has the following responsibilities:

  • Work with writers to produce standout and strategically focused concepts and campaigns
  • Take on writing projects and own them, start to finish
  • Know product data and claims, and those of the competition, inside out
  • Manage and work independently, under tight deadlines, while juggling multiple projects
  • Estimate creative hours
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations
  • Attend market research as appropriate
  • Share responsibility with planning to shape strategic branding
  • Manage workloads to maximize productivity of the team, ensuring everyone is busy and billable.
  • Provide written feedback for annual performance reviews, and ongoing feedback on team performance (written when requested)
  • Lead the team in development of concepts and execution of all projects from conception to completion
  • Demonstrate understanding and appreciation for clients' products and marketing challenges, and be responsive to their needs
  • Represent the agency at client meetings and social events as required
  • Understand and represent agency positioning, philosophy, and processes.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of agency experience
  • A proven track record of creative ability and judgment, successful client contact experience, ability to work collaboratively with account management, excellent presentation skills, successful experience managing writers, availability to travel and commitment to producing high-quality work
