We are seeking a seasoned Senior Backend Developer to drive the development of our world-class SaaS-based logistic platform. This innovative platform digitalizes logistics by integrating and optimizing business processes, adding a predictability layer to make logistics more efficient.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and deploy cutting-edge solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers and directly impacting the top line by generating millions of dollars of revenue.
  • Develop optimized solutions for given problems and write clean code that is maintainable and easily understandable. You should also write unit tests for code and test it thoroughly before publishing.
  • Maintain high standards and quality of deliverables, being responsible for fixing own bugs and maintaining them.
  • Engage with product management to take the product vision or business problem to the tech definition, implementation, and successful deployment.
  • Responsible for system analysis, design, and architecture for the entire product/platform handling millions of transactions, refactoring both backend and frontend layers to make it more resilient.
  • Ensure non-functional attributes such as scalability, availability, serviceability, usability, and practical aspects during various phases of development.
  • Prepare technical write-ups for programming features of the site and ensure team members understand deliverables and have task lists.
  • Work closely with Automation teams to determine testing requirements to ensure full coverage and the best quality of product.
  • Manage excellent communication with stakeholders while managing their expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering from a reputed University.
  • 3+ Years of experience in technical design, software development, and architecture at the backend side involving scalable, high-performant, and available platforms.
  • Hands-on experience in working on SaaS-based products and Open-Source Technologies including Java, Spring Boot, Python, Django, Distributed System Technology, PostgreSQL Database, and NoSQL Database.
  • Technical Skills: JIRA, GitLab, REST API, GCP or AWS, Maven, Ansible-like build & deployment (continuous integration) tools.
  • A very good understanding of event-driven, microservices architectures, and web services.
  • Good knowledge in security and identity management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, such as meeting facilitation, presentation, and documentation.

Salary Estimate: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
