SAP Basis Administrator Role

We are seeking a seasoned SAP Basis professional to assume a key role in our organization.

This position involves overseeing the management and maintenance of SAP systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP administration, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues to optimize SAP landscapes.
  • Performing system refreshes, client copies, and transports between environments.
  • Implementing and maintaining SAP security, roles, and authorizations.
  • Collaborating with functional teams to support SAP application performance and resolve issues.
  • Managing system backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
Key Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with 5-10 years of experience in SAP Basis administration. They should be proficient in database management (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, HANA) and experienced with OS platforms such as Linux, Windows, or UNIX.

Additionally, strong knowledge of SAP Security concepts and best practices is essential. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

While not mandatory, experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.) and SAP Cloud solutions would be an asset. Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager and its functionalities is also desirable. SAP certifications related to Basis administration would be beneficial for career advancement.
