IP Protection Specialist

 

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned IP protection specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing NPD designs and identifying potential areas of IP legal risk.

Responsibilities:

  1. Review NPD designs for IP risk and initiate actions to mitigate risks
  2. Develop search strategies and conduct advanced patent analysis to protect transportation design and engineering
  3. Perform competitor portfolio analysis and leverage data analytics tools for effective search and analysis
  4. Work closely with IP attorneys and legal associates to provide timely FTO opinions and reviews
  5. Plan and conduct BOM FTO reviews across automotive technology domains
  6. Release periodic IP alerts and manage projects independently
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and state-of-art tools for IP searches
  8. Resolve claim interpretation issues and maintain confidentiality of IP matters

Requirements:

  • Graduate or higher qualification in Engineering (Mechanical / Electronics / Automotive / Material Science)
  • Additional qualifications in WON, WIPO DL101, DFSS, Qualified Patent Agent Exam will be an advantage
  • 18+ years of experience in IP law
