Job Description

High-impact analytics solutions are designed, developed, and executed by Data Science Consultants to help clients make informed decisions based on data.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Applying numerical optimization techniques to large, unstructured data sets to solve complex problems in Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to deploy optimization-based solutions on high-dimensional datasets and creating practical solutions that achieve desired results in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Contributing to the development of data science capabilities for solving problems in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations Management, and offering scale and advanced analytic capabilities.
  • Leading conversations with clients and other stakeholders to effectively integrate and communicate analysis findings.
  • Evaluating emerging datasets and technologies to define our analytic platform.
  • Developing select assets/accelerators that create scale.
  • Conducting research and publishing thought leadership papers.
  • Managing project teams of Associates/Associate Consultants.

Requirements:

  • MS/PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or related fields, with a focus on Optimization, plus 2-4 years of relevant post-PhD work experience in implementing solutions in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations Management areas.
  • 6 - 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong theoretical and applied understanding of linear programming, convex optimization, non-linear programming, and other optimization topics.
  • Experience with commercial solvers like CPLEX, Gurobi, etc is preferred.
  • Relevant programming background (e.g., Python/R).
  • Understanding of relevant tools/platforms (e.g., ML/data engineering tools and platforms).
  • Team management and skill development experience.
  • Relevant domain knowledge is preferred (healthcare/life sciences/transportation/hi-tech/insurance/retail).
  • Agile project planning and project management experience is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a research-focused mindset.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • High motivation, good work ethic, and maturity.
