Job Title: Market Risk Manager

 

About the Role:

The Market Risk Manager will be responsible for providing support to regional stakeholders in day-to-day risk management of Electronic and Algorithmic trading activities.

The ideal candidate will have a decent understanding of the four key areas: Electronic and Algorithmic Trading activities, Risk Limit Management in Market Risk, Non-financial and Operational Risks, and Technology Risk.

We are looking for a strong communicator who can engage with all levels of management and has the ability to simplify technical concepts to present effectively to a non-technical audience.

The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of one or more asset classes (Equity / FX / Rates) and rules and regulations relating to electronic trading.

 

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Understanding of Electronic and Algorithmic Trading activities
  • Risk Limit Management in Market Risk - setup, adjustment, review and breaches
  • Non-financial and Operational Risks - RCSA, OpRisk Events, Risk Assessment
  • Technology Risk - Understanding building blocks of the tools, relevant risks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical fluency to present complex ideas simply
  • Able to remain objective and raise areas of risk exposure independently
  • Collaboration skills to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Project management skills to handle multiple deliverables

 

Education:

Bachelor's degree in any specialization. Postgraduate qualification such as MBA/PGDM in any specialization is desirable.
