Geological Planning Manager

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Geological Planning Manager. This role is critical for planning and executing new mining operations, ensuring business objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mining Plan Preparation: Prepare accurate and detailed mining plans using geological modeling software, including Minex, for coal mines.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to statutory requirements related to coal quality, mine planning, and other regulations.
  • Exploration and Drilling: Conduct exploration and infill drilling activities to prepare annual mine production plans.
  • Critical Analysis: Analyze geological data, including logging, sampling, and correlation, to monitor coal quality on a daily basis and target as per annual production plan.
  • Sampling Control: Oversee sampling activities at the mine, coal stock yard, dispatch, and other locations as required.
  • Data Management: Maintain MIS and quality coal checks in production and dispatch.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and control MDO performance regarding quality control and compliances.
  • Business Planning: Study geological plans, sections, and folio plans of different seams and prepare daily, monthly, yearly, and five-year mine operation plans in line with business plans and approved mine plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology from a reputable institution.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of practical geological work experience in coal mines, preferably in the position of Senior Geologist.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Auto CAD, Minex Geological Modelling, and 3-D Civil for at least 3-4 years.
  • Coal Quality Knowledge: Sufficient knowledge in BIS process and standards, as well as total knowledge of coal quality process control.
