Network Operations Center Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Center Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our NOC team, you will be responsible for monitoring network systems, diagnosing issues, and ensuring the stability and performance of our infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in network operations with the ability to resolve technical problems efficiently. You will work closely with other IT teams to coordinate responses to complex network issues and participate in shift rotations to provide 24/7 network support coverage.

About This Role

  • Monitor network performance and system alerts using various monitoring tools.
  • Analyze network traffic patterns and identify potential issues.
  • Ensure all systems and networks operate at peak performance levels.
  • Respond promptly to network incidents and alerts, working to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps in detail.
  • Support the configuration and management of network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Work closely with other IT teams to coordinate responses to complex network issues.
  • Participate in shift rotations to provide 24/7 network support coverage.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in a NOC or similar IT support role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in using network monitoring tools such as Nagios, SolarWinds, Zabbix, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and troubleshooting methodologies.
