Cloud-Based Scala Expert

We are seeking an experienced Cloud-Based Scala Expert to join our team. As a key member of our technology department, you will play a vital role in designing, developing and maintaining large-scale cloud-based applications using Scala.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable cloud-based applications using Scala and Spark
  • Implement and optimize Apache Spark applications for efficient data processing
  • Develop complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation and analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing and deployment

Required Skills:

  • 6+ years of experience in Scala and Apache Spark development
  • Deep understanding of Spark architecture and its components
  • Strong SQL expertise for data manipulation and querying
  • Hands-on experience with Hive and Hadoop ecosystem tools
  • Proficient in shell scripting for automation
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Good to Have:

  • Working knowledge of Control-M for job scheduling
  • Experience with Tableau for data visualization
