Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Cyber Security Operations Specialist to spearhead the security operations function. This is a key role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the protection of our IT environment from cyber threats.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the overall security posture, conducting regular vulnerability assessments, and implementing measures to mitigate potential risks. They will also be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.

This role requires excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security frameworks, regulations, and industry standards, including ISO 27001 and SOC 2.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Cybersecurity Operations: Maintain the security operations function, ensuring that all security controls are in place and functioning correctly.
  2. Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, identify potential risks, and implement measures to mitigate them.
  3. Incident Response: Develop and maintain incident response plans, conduct tabletop exercises, and respond to security incidents as required.
  4. Compliance: Ensure that all security-related activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, with a focus on operations and incident response.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Experience with security tools, such as SIEM, antivirus software, and firewalls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
