Job Description

The Appstore Developer Experience team aims to make it easy for developers to provide world-class experience and value for customers. As a Software Dev Engineer III, you will play a crucial role in improving the developer experience by working on a wide range of technologies and systems.

Key responsibilities include designing, delivering, and influencing senior leadership on technical direction. You will also be responsible for coaching and developing engineers, as well as improving the overall maintainability of systems.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with stakeholders and engineers to review key designs, architecture, and code
  • Define and track key customer and operational metrics
  • Problem-solve complex ambiguous problems
  • Code critical and complex modules
  • Create buy-in for the technical vision and strategy both internally and with key external partners
Requirements

For this role, we are looking for candidates with 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience. You should have a strong programming background, including experience with design patterns, reliability, and scaling. Additionally, you should have experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
