Senior Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing strategies across multiple technologies.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience with web testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, and WebdriverIO, as well as API testing tools like Postman/Newman and Rest Assured.
  • A strong understanding of data pipeline testing tools, including Great Expectations, Soda, and DBT test, is also essential.

In addition, the successful candidate will have proficient Python skills for backend API testing and database testing experience, preferably with PostgreSQL.

  • Candidates should also have experience with CI/CD pipeline integration using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
  • Mentorship of team members on testing best practices and framework adoption is also an important aspect of this role.

This position requires 5+ years of experience in test automation engineering and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

About the Role

The Senior Test Automation Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement end-to-end automated testing strategies across React frontend, Python backend, and PostgreSQL database.

  • The primary focus of this role will be on developing test automation frameworks using industry-leading tools, creating automated tests for data pipelines and ETL processes, and building CI/CD pipeline integration.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for mentoring team members on testing best practices and framework adoption.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in test automation engineering
  • Strong experience with web testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, WebdriverIO, or similar)
  • Proficient in API testing tools (Postman/Newman, Rest Assured, or equivalent)
  • Experience with data pipeline testing tools (Great Expectations, Soda, DBT test, or similar)
  • Strong Python skills for backend API testing
  • Database testing experience (PostgreSQL preferred)
  • CI/CD pipeline integration (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
