Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Desk Editor to join our team in Bangalore, the largest Reuters newsroom. As part of our team, you will be at the forefront of news delivery innovation, driving the delivery of Reuters' first AI-powered story format while ensuring accuracy, quality, value and impact.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reporting or editing, including expertise in tackling company earnings from any geography. They will be perceptive to the pros and cons of AI, especially about interpreting and presenting news.

About the Role:

  • Ensure adherence to Reuters editorial and ethical standards.
  • Develop a keen sense of understanding the importance of accurate and timely information dissemination.
  • Be proactive in suggesting ways to improve automated news production and expand it across other forms of disclosure-based news.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 2-3 years of experience as a journalist, preferably in company news. A strong background in reporting or editing is essential, including expertise in tackling company earnings from any geography.
